Constellation Participates at the U.S. DOE’s Energy Exchange

Constellation’s Distributed Energy team was onsite again this year at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Energy Exchange conference in Tampa, FL on August 15-17^th. The Energy Exchange is a highly recognized educational and networking forum for those seeking to expand their knowledge of building operations, energy management and efficiency measures and sustainability in the federal sector. Each year, thousands of attendees from over 100 energy, technology and aeronautical organizations join Federal leaders and employees at this event. The goal is to “connect, collaborate, and conserve,” and discuss ways to work together to achieve energy resiliency.

Four of our experienced energy professionals took part in panels at the event. They had the chance to lend their insights on project development in the energy efficiency space and speak about our unique projects.

Chris Abbuehl, Senior Business Development Manager for Federal Energy Efficiency Sales, took part in the Procuring Renewable Energy panel. He discussed Constellation’s work in bringing energy efficiency projects to the public sector.

Kevin Carey, Principal of Product Structuring, took part in the Energy 101 Track. This focused on the fundamental components of energy project development such as, auditing, lighting, HVAC, renewables and storage as well as a number of other energy management topics.

Johan Ulloa, Manager for Regional Energy Efficiency Sales, Russ McNair, Senior Technical Sales Manager for Federal Energy Efficiency Sales, and Fred Broome, Director of the Installation and Environment Division at the Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) in Albany, GA, shared the story of the MCLB’s mission to reach the Army’s “Net Zero” goal.
