Support Retail Electric Choice in Michigan Now

ECN MichiganRetail electric competition is currently capped at 10%.  Michigan customers that were able to choose a competitive supplier before hitting the arbitrary 10% cap are estimated to have saved over $350 million.  Michigan customers unable to switch are now paying the highest prices in the Midwest, having increased by over 20% since 2008.

Recent Study Shows New England Supports Electricity Choice & Competitive Energy Markets

Last Thursday, the New England Energy Alliance released the results of its annual survey of New England households.  The Alliance is a group of energy companies dedicated to educating and informing policymakers across New England to promote better decision-making. Exelon, Constellation’s parent company, is a Board member of the Alliance.

New COMPETE Report Shows Electric Choice Surge & Sustainability in its Growth

Electric choice has grown significantly the past few years, according to a new report released by the COMPETE Coalition entitled Retail Electric Choice: Proven, Growing, Sustainable. While electric consumption was no greater in 2011 than it was in 2008, there has been substantial growth in the number of customers that have chosen a new competitive electric provider as well as definitive signs showing that growth in electric choice is feasible.
