For the remainder of 2012, we will be highlighting the outstanding work of Constellation employees who go “above and beyond” the call of duty. These featured employees are major contributors to the level of service and care that we believe each customer deserves.
We spoke with Travis, one of our outstanding team leaders in Retention & Customer Care, about his leadership and why he loves coming into work every day!
Q: Where are you from and which office do you work out of?
Originally, I’m from Baton Rouge, LA, and I currently live and work in Houston, TX.
Q: How long have you been with Constellation?
I’ve been with the company for 2 years. I spent my first 6 months as a contractor and have been a full-time employee for the past year and a half. Also, I was recently promoted to Team Lead of Retention & Customer Care. I’m really excited about my new role and responsibilities!
Q: What are some of your personal interests and hobbies?
During my spare time, I play video games, love to watch WWE events, and I’m a big Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Saints fan!
Q: What’s a typical work day like for you?
On an average day, I help assist Customer Care team leads and train new agents. Each day, I’m involved in various tasks to support those two main initiatives. I usually get to work around 8:30am and assist the agents with leads, escalations, callbacks and walking the floor to offer support where needed. Additionally, I help support our customer retention program.
Q: Can you describe a time at work where you felt that you truly made a positive difference for someone?
I feel great when training Customer Care agents. I take great pride in preparing the agents for their work ahead and love seeing them succeed. Additionally, I helped rewrite the entire Customer Service training manual. The previous manual was outdated and needed more insight into various service issues that continuously arise.
Q: What would you say is the best part about working for Constellation?
The possibility of making a difference in someone’s day and the people that I work with are the best parts of my job. I really enjoy coming to work each day and have seen lots of positive changes within the company during my tenure.

This guy rocks! Way to go Travis
