Today, Constellation Energy announced that we have completed our acquisition of CPower, a leading energy management and demand response provider. This acquisition will more than double the size of Constellation Energy’s demand response team and increase our dispatchable demand response capacity to more than 1,500 megawatts throughout the United States and Canada.
As this development further strengthens the scope of our demand response programs, we are particularly thrilled to have the opportunity to combine our talent with the wealth of knowledge and experience that CPower brings to the table. First and foremost, our focus remains on the value and service that we bring to our customers. For example, customers currently with CPower can immediately begin managing and optimizing real-time energy usage with VirtuWatt™, our online energy management tool.
We look forward to working with CPower to continue transforming the energy industry by providing innovative products, services and incentives for our customers to operate more efficiently.
